Wow. That is an awesome shot and an awesome stunt. You're quite the photographer. Dhabi - that sounds amazing. I was in Egypt many years ago and loved it. I just found out they have a city on the Red Sea similar to Dhabi. I think Dhabi would be an amazing place to visit. Warmer and cleaner than here. Cheers.

Dave,
I am no professional, just a shutter-bug, but those are great photos!

I am somewhat of a point-and-shoot kind of guy as far as cameras go.

I am looking at upgrading to a Canon SX110IS mainly due to I like their cameras and the 10x optical zoom, I am a zoom freak!

Whadda you think?

Ace,

That's a nice point and shoot camera, 10x zoom, 9 megapixels. If you can afford it, look also at the SX10IS which is 10 megapixels with a 20x zoom. You'd have even more telephoto range than I had with the jetski pic.

Dave,
Good call on the SX10IS. I looked into it and discovered that for just a few pearls more than the SX110IS, I could get twice the zoom and other features. I'm sold, thanks!

I am currently using an old Power Shot A510 3.2MP with 4X zoom so the new camera will be an improvement of several orders of magnitude.

Can you recommend a good local outlet to get one from?

I saw this guy practicing in the Marina that day, he was awesome - just gutted I didn't have my camera with me. BUt wel don, good job on the pics!

Ace, no idea on local outlets, but the Canon point and shoot cameras are sold all over. I'd compare local prices against B&H Photo in NYC. Might be cheaper to ship it or have a friend bring one over.
